Are you kidding me? Add yourself to the list of the untrusted, Dick. Far be it for West Siders to hang that prestigious ranking only on Kamilos. Perhaps it's the fact that during the selection process, Monteith wouldn't return phone calls to West Side residents, even those who have supported him throughout his political career. Or maybe it's that he and other supervisors ignored the people that a project like this would affect the most, never offering any reason that led to making such a controversial decision.
The supervisors who voted for this project must be privy to undisclosed information, as everything available to the public suggested the better candidate was Hillwood; that the West Park plan was rife with major environmental impacts that couldn't be magically mitigated; and that it wasn't viable to use the Crows Landing air facility as an inland port.
Hopefully Monteith won't need campaign funds in the future, or better yet, maybe his newfound friends will finance his future bids, because he won't see that support from the West Side again.
